Weather: Warm but not too hot with a gentle breeze…. perfect.

We were lucky to find four lionesses lying next to the road just past Mpila early this morning. It was a great sighting and set the tone for a good day including elephant and hyaena sightings. The buffaloes have been strangely absent over the past few days… maybe it’s been to hot for them to venture out into the sun.

Umfolozi Big Five sightings: Lion, Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo… and hyaenas.

Hluhluwe Big Five sightings: Lion, Elephant, Buffalo, Rhino.

General Game: Warthog, Wildebeest, Zebra, Giraffe, Baboon etc.
