EuroZulu Wildlife Diary – Thursday 07 February 2013

Weather: Even though February is normally the hottest month of the year in Zululand the early mornings are still chilly and today was no exception. It did warm up later during the morning but then cooled down again quickly towards midday.

Nothing dramatic today, in fact things were a little quiet generally with a handful of rhinos and elephants scattered around the south of the Park. We did encounter a large buffalo herd at marker 25 in the south. The bird sightings were good today and we heard of lions near Mphafa late morning.

Umfolozi Big Five sightings: Lion, Elephant, Buffalo, Rhino.

Hluhluwe Big Five sightings: Elephant, Buffalo, Rhino.

General Game: Baboon, Warthog, Wildebeest, Zebra, Giraffe etc.

Till the next sighting!!!
