EuroZulu Wildlife Diary – Wednesday 28 May 2014

We were greeted with a very stiff easterly wind as we approached the Park this morning and it was soon evident that it was going to  be a tough day out there. We did get lions far off in the river bed at the main Umfolozi bridge but thereafter there was very little to be seen today. This should not be interpreted as a bad day – far from it – but it does serve as a reality check that we are completely at the mercy of the animals. It also makes us appreciate the very good days that we get regularly, all the more !! There are hardly any elephants in the Umfolozi section at the moment but we will just have to be patient, the tide will turn.
