There was a little relief from the blisteringly hot weather for a change today, in fact it was beautifully cool and relatively windless although still bone dry. We had a great lion sighting towards the end of Sontuli loop just after breakfast when two big males strolled down the road right next to our vehicle for 30 minutes before heading down to the river. Great rhino sightings as well today and  also a number of small elephant herds at various points in the Park. The giraffes have been out in full force over the past few days and there seem also to be a lot more Nyalas and Kudu around than normal. On the flip side though, the bird life seems to have come to a halt…and where have the zebras and wildebeest disappeared to ?!
