EuroZulu Guided Tours & Safaris Hluhluwe / Umfolozi : Tuesday 04 November 2014

We had a good start to our day in the bush today when we came across a 9 strong lion pride resting in the river bed at the main Umfolozi bridge. The cats were chilling out big time and were still there, albeit having moved all of 10 meters, when we crossed the bridge again on our way to lunch !! We had a good elephant sighting a little later when a breeding herd crossed the road in front of us near Bhekaphansi. We were also treated to a hyena playing with her young babies in the river bed at marker 15, and then, near view point 17, a cheetah was prowling around the river area, no doubt looking for it’s breakfast ! General game was abundant today but bird sightings are minimal at the moment….come on guys, where are you ??!!100_0984
