EuroZulu Safaris – Friday 11 July 2014

These winter mornings are freezing…colder than anybody from these parts can remember. As a result it took time for the animals to appear, but when they did it was pretty spectacular ! Near marker 18 in the south 5 lions were feasting on a wildebeest which they had taken down early morning. A little later near Mpila camp 3 lions were sunning themselves about 100 m from the road. We were not finished with the lions yet because near Umganu picnic side a pride of 7 crossed the Umfolozi river. We also had an elephant sighting near Nyalazi gate on our way home and the general game was abundant as well.
