Weather: A real mixed bag today… warm and overcast early on then cool with a little rain later.

We got lucky with lions again today, 5 of them were lazing around quite close to the road near marker 25 in the south. Good hyena sightings as well, including a badly injured male near the White Umfolozi river at view site 17. Rhinos and buffaloes were scarce today but there were a couple of elephants dotted around the south.

Umfolozi Big Five sightings: Lion, Elephant, Buffalo, Rhino… and hyenas.

Hluhluwe Big Five sightings: Elephant, Buffalo, Rhino.

General Game: Warthog, Zebra, Baboon, Wildebeest, Giraffe etc.
