EuroZulu Wildlife Diary – Thursday 21 February 2013

Weather: A little chilly for most of the morning with an unpleasantly strong wind.

We got lions again this morning between markers 12 and 28 in the south. Seems like the cats we saw are part of the same pride that has been seen in that area over the last few days. Highlight of the day was a breeding elephant herd near marker 12. The herd included some of the smallest elephants I have seen in the Park over the past 4 or 5 years. We had good rhino sightings as well but the buffaloes seem to have gone missing in action.

Umfolozi Big Five sightings: Lion, Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo.

Hluhluwe Big Five sightings: Lion, Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo.

General Game:Warthog, Wildebeest, Baboon, Zebra, Giraffe, Antelope etc.

Till the next sighting!!!
