EuroZulu Wildlife Diary – Wednesday 13 February 2013

Weather: Same again…. hot as heck. It’s amazing to see just how quickly the Park becomes parched again after the rain has stayed away for a while. A lot of the smaller pans have dried up again and the level of the two Umfolozi rivers has dropped dramatically.

Tuff out there ( again !! ) today. This morning early an injured hyena came strolling past our vehicle. Seems like it got into a fight because the rear left leg was badly mauled and could not support any weight. As usual a couple of elephants and rhinos scattered around and good bird sightings again, but the cats…. eeeishh, where are they hiding ??!!

Umfolozi Big Five sightings: Elephant, Buffalo, Rhino.

Hluhluwe Big Five sightings: Lion, Elephant, Buffalo, Rhino.

General Game:Warthog, Wildebeest, Giraffe, Zebra etc.

Till the next sighting!!!
